Of Roy
Watling's Shetland total of 984 fungi 157 have been recorded in Foula.
Twenty four of these fungi are associated with Foula's two native trees - the
Creeping Willow (Salix repens) and/or the Dwarf Willow (Salix herbacea).
The Creeping Willow grows in the croft of Grisigarth and the Dwarf Willow (an
alpine/arctic tree) high up on the Sneug.
